ALL THAT MATTERS (2020) was originally a gift to my wife so we would have something attainable to play together. While writing this somewhat pop-like ballad in three, I kept hearing a certain set of lyrics playing in my head at the end of a phrase stating, “all that matters, is the journey with you.” While there are no actual lyrics written, I still define this piece as a “love song” of sorts. Life is a journey, and as long as we have each other, that is all that matters.
